Some items identified below were released in smaller cumulative updates over the last several weeks.
Highlights
- New Telehealth experience: Twilio-powered video chat
- Telehealth video chat has been upgraded to a new Twilio-powered experience for both 1:1 and group calls — replacing Zoom for group calls and moving 1:1 calls onto the newer Twilio version. The upgrade brings custom backgrounds, clearer mic-muted indicators, friendlier error messages, dynamic participant tile sizing, and a lobby-room notice before joining sessions. Group calls also gain per-room participant and duration limits and an "End call for all" control for practitioners.
Improvements
- The Task Detail panel now shows the patient's primary phone number next to the patient's name, so you can reach out without leaving the task view.
- A new LOCATION_PHONE_NO keyword is available for email and text templates that pulls the phone number from the Location tab (unlike PRACTITIONER_PHONE_NO, which is set per provider). Useful for multi-location practices that want patient communications to show the location-specific phone number.
- Letter templates now support a new keyword for secondary insurance, letting you pull the patient's secondary insurance details into any letter alongside the existing PATIENT_INSURANCE keyword.
- Practitioners can now generate a PDF for secondary insurance claims, in addition to primary.
- The Messages view now loads faster (limited to the last month of messages by default), the "mark unread" error from the old view is fixed, the new-message editor no longer appears oversized on smaller screens, and practitioners can now reply in other practitioners' threads.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where emailing a PDF from Patient > Actions > Superbill History would send the patient an email without working links to the attached questionnaires, consent forms, or handouts. Also fixed a related issue where questionnaire, consent form, and handout keywords were not replaced with the correct links when emailing a patient from the lab diagnostic history.
- Fixed an issue where patients booking online could see a "This appointment slot is no longer available" popup on slots the picker had just offered.
- Fixed an issue where deleting a Superbill created by another user left orphaned line-item rows behind. Deletes now fully clean up the bill regardless of which user performs them.
- Fixed an issue where Box 1a (Insured's ID Number) was blank on the CMS-1500 PDF for accident-related claims when the patient had no SSN on file. Box 1a now correctly falls back to the Insured ID.
- Fixed an issue where HCFA-1500 claim submissions could silently fail (invalid 837 or clearinghouse send failure) but still appear as submitted. Failures are now logged and the claim status correctly reflects that the submission did not complete.
- Fixed an issue with EDI 837 service line (SV) segments where some diagnosis pointers were dropped or reordered — the "J" pointer now populates correctly, and selected diagnosis pointers are preserved in their original order (up to four per service line).
- Fixed an issue where the Subscribed Packages badge count on a Superbill incremented each time the bill was saved, even when no new package was added.
- Fixed an issue where package purchase dates were saved as null when a package was created by a recurring subscription, which caused missing dates on related superbills.
- Fixed an issue where copying a custom formulation hid the Save & Update Inventory button on the new copy because it inherited the update-inventory flag from the original — inventory can now be properly deducted on copied formulations.
- Fixed an issue in CRM Integration webhook configuration where saving a webhook with 10 or more field mappings would overwrite the values of the 11th–20th fields with the wrong key, sending incorrect data in webhook payloads.
