Some items identified below were released in smaller cumulative updates over the last two weeks.
Highlights
New default: New Messaging Experience
The new Messages experience is now the default when you click "Messages" in the top navigation. Other in-app links to Messages will be switched to the new UI in a follow-up update. The classic Messages page remains accessible via a UI banner for the next several weeks until the migration is finalized.
Improvements
The Group Texting promo screen now tells practitioners exactly where to enable the add-on (Settings > Business > OptiMantra Subscription) and that two-way texting is a prerequisite (3–5 business days for number assignment) — so clinics can self-serve instead of opening a support ticket.
The reCAPTCHA check now applies only to public-facing pages (Online Booking, gift cards, invoice payment), so staff aren't blocked by it during login, scheduling, or messaging.
Legacy (non-Stripe) clinics can now enter and save tax address fields on the Subscriptions page.
Patient tags now appear in a column on the Checkout page next to each patient's name, with a toggle to hide or show them — making it easier to spot tagged accounts without leaving the checkout page.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where tags with no Check-In, Check-Out, or Charting roles were cluttering the New Initial Consult page and missing from the Dashboard — practitioners now see the right tag context on the right screen.
Fixed an issue on the new Message Details view where tapping an item in the hamburger menu would open the action behind the menu instead of replacing the view.
Fixed an issue where intake-complete and custom-questionnaire notifications were sending to the practitioner's Reply-To Email instead of the Notification Email Destination configured under Settings > Communications > Reminder Email — notifications now route to the address you set.
Fixed an issue where the Processed Claim Details screen wouldn't load CPT codes for some patients (or hung with "page not responding") — practitioners can now post insurance payments on those claims without manual workarounds.
Fixed an issue where the Credit Memo line was showing on older saved versions of a superbill — historical superbill versions now accurately reflect the patient's balance at that point in time, without later credit memos bleeding back.
Closed a privacy issue where provider-entered supply names (which could contain patient identifying info, if PII was entered by practitioners into the name of a supply item) were appearing in the Ineffective Meds autocomplete on the patient portal. Supplies are now excluded from patient-facing searches and scoped to your own practice on internal Superbill product search.
Fixed an issue where the patient action menu (hamburger icon) on the new Task page wasn't opening when a patient was opened from global search — patient actions are now available everywhere on the new Task page.
Fixed an issue where the help button on the Lab & Diagnostics settings page linked to an outdated Loom video — it now points to the current "Set up and Use Connected Labs" knowledge base article.
Fixed an issue where the Find Availability screen (from the scheduling page's More menu) could time out for practitioners with a large schedule — slot searches now return results reliably.
Fixed an issue where the date on a custom formulation couldn't be edited from inside a patient's chart note — the date is now editable in both dialog and side-by-side views.
Fixed an issue in Online Booking where service add-ons stopped appearing after a patient selected a practitioner — add-ons now show as expected.
Fixed an issue in the new Messages and Tasks experience where messaging or creating a task for a patient with no email address caused the page to hang or the task list to display incorrectly.
Fixed an issue where appointment audit log timestamps could shift to the viewer's local time zone while still being labeled "EST" — creating misleading entries for practitioners in other zones. The log now locks all times to a single zone, matching what's shown on the Scheduling page.
