Use OptiMantra's lab requisition to create and send imaging orders for your patients.

Set up the Lab or Imaging Center as a Contact
- Navigate to Settings > Business > Contact List

Add New Contact (set Contact Type as Lab)
- Ensure the lab is set up as an entity with accurate contact information
- This will customize printer headers for the lab entity
Opening a Lab Requisition for a Patient
From within the chart note: "Select More Commands" > "Lab Orders & Results" > "Create New Order"
From the patient actions menu: Select Lab/Diagnostics, choose the appropriate practitioner and "Create Lab Order"
Ordering Imaging for a Patient
When you open the lab requisition you'll be prompted to select the Lab you want to pull from > Select Custom for imaging orders.
This will pull up your lab order form where you can select the imaging center from your contacts and use the blue "Add Imaging" button to add in your chosen imaging order.
Additionally, on the lab requisition you can add:
- Payer
- ICD Codes
- Order details and relevant information or notes, if needed
Once the requisition is complete be sure to select the checkbox to "Include Electronic Signature" and select any courtesy copies you want to create. You will then "Save Order" to generate the requisition.
View and Fax Lab Requisitions for a Patient
At any point, you can see historical lab orders for a patient by clicking on the historical drop-down in the patient actions menu.
From this screen, you can edit, view the pdf the requisition, or by choosing the 3 blue action dots - fax it to your contact
Adding Additional Imaging
If the imaging you would like to order is not available in the "Add Imaging" button you can use the lab templates to create the item. Follow our steps in our Lab Template knowledgebase here.
