What is a Lab Integration?
A lab integration creates an electronic connection between OptiMantra and a lab you already have an account with. This allows you to send orders and receive results electronically instead of printing, faxing, or manually entering data.
You must have an existing account with the lab you want to integrate. OptiMantra does not provide access to labs — we connect to labs where you are already an established client. If you don't yet have an account with a lab, you'll need to set one up with that lab directly before requesting integration.
For labs not listed below, the Change Healthcare Clinical Exchange is a third-party interface that can connect to hundreds of additional labs. However, the same requirement applies — you still need your own account with that lab. Change Healthcare is simply the technology that enables the electronic connection.
Direct Integration Labs

We can directly integrate with Labcorp. To get started, submit a support ticket with the following information:
- Provider Full Name
- NPI (Personal NPI — must match Settings > Business > Provider Settings)
- Lab Account Number
- Authorized Staff Names (and NPI if ordering providers)
Q: What is the Labcorp Vendor ID?
We do not have a Labcorp Vendor Number/Vendor ID and the Labcorp implementation
team has advised it is not required. If your Labcorp rep requests it,
let them know:
"OptiMantra does not have a Labcorp Vendor Number/Vendor ID and the Labcorp implementation team does not require it for their integrations."
Q: How long does integration take?
Labcorp typically takes 8+ weeks for integration approval.
We recommend following up with your Labcorp rep periodically for status
updates.
+ Northern Plains Laboratories
We can directly integrate with Northern Plains Laboratories. To get started, submit a support ticket with the following information:

⚠ Action Required After Submitting: After you submit a ticket, you must also enroll in Evexia's EMR Integration: hover over Tools, click EMR Integration, then select Enroll Now.
Note: Evexia sends results only. Requisitions still need to be created outside of the system.
Direct Labs (Requires integration request with lab directly)
These labs require you to submit an integration request directly through their own portal. We cannot submit on your behalf.

We can directly integrate with Sonora Quest. To get started, please reach out to your Sonora Quest account representative and ask them to put in the integration request (we are no longer able to submit on your behalf). Also, please submit a support ticket with the following information:

Self-Service Setup (Follow steps in Portal)
+ Rupa
To connect Rupa with OptiMantra, you can request integration directly within the Rupa interface.
Steps to Connect:
- Sign into your Rupa account
- Navigate to the left side panel → Select Settings
- Select Account Settings
- Select the Add EHR Connection button (in the top right)
- Select OptiMantra and click "Connect EHR"
⚠ Important Notes:
- You'll continue to order your lab results in Rupa, but results will be matched into OptiMantra using patient name and date of birth (DOB)
- Ensure your information in OptiMantra and Rupa are an exact match. Mismatches or misspellings (e.g. Matt vs. Matthew) may result in labs not being attached to a patient record
- Ensure the NPI associated with your Rupa account also exists in your OptiMantra account. If using a medical director's NPI, set them up as an OptiMantra user via Settings > Business > Provider Settings
Timeline: The integration takes 2–3 weeks. Once completed, lab results will appear in patient charts under the Notifications tab.
Other Labs
+ Other Lab (via Change Healthcare Clinical Exchange)
If your lab is not listed above, we can likely connect through the Change Healthcare Clinical Exchange interface, which supports hundreds of labs.
To get started, submit a support ticket with the following information:
- Lab Name you want to connect
- Provider Full Name
- NPI (Personal NPI — must match Settings > Business > Provider Settings)
- Lab Account Number
- Authorized Staff Names (and NPI if ordering providers)
What you need to know:
- Some labs may not approve electronic integration if you aren't ordering enough volume
- If not approved initially, you can use the custom lab format to generate lab requisitions

+ Unconnected/In-house Lab (Custom Requisition)
For labs that are not yet connected via Change Healthcare, you can use OptiMantra's custom lab order interface to generate requisitions.

- Custom lab options may not contain the most up-to-date labs listed on the Change Healthcare exchange
- You cannot send these electronically
- They do not automatically include your lab account number
- You will need to print the order, add your account number, and fax/email/send it with the patient or samples to the lab
