In OptiMantra, you can easily assign a chart co-signer and create tasks for your supervising physician
Setting Up a Co-signer in OptiMantra
If you haven't yet, please add your co-signer as a user on OptiMantra
-
Under Settings > Business > User Management > Add New User
- Add their name, email address, and make them a practitioner so they can access charts
- Click the Send email to notify new user button and they will get an email to log into OptiMantra and set their password
Note there is no additional subscription charge for adding a co-signing physician
Next, under Settings > Business > User Management > Edit Users, select YOUR name and add your chart co-signer to your profile
Assigning Charts to your Co-signer
When you are in your chart, under Patients > Actions Menu > New Intake, New Follow-up or New Basic Note
Save your chart, then click More Commands at the top right of the chart > Request Signature from Co-signer
When you request a signature from your co-signer it will automatically create a Task and Notification for your co-signer that a chart is ready to sign
TIP - If you're in a state with requirements - like 10% of your charts need to be signed - one option is to pick a day of the week where you assign charts to your co-signer for review to make this a part of your standard workflow
Co-signing Charts
Once a chart has been assigned to you for signature (see steps above), you will have a Task assigned to you to review when you log into OptiMantra
- Log into your OptiMantra account
- Click on Tasks in the top navigation bar
- You will see your Sign Chart task assigned to you
- Click on View to review and then Co-Sign Chart
- You can click on Previous and Next to scroll through charts assigned to you
- You can clear your task from your list by clicking on Complete
If the co-signer that was added to OptiMantra as a user is not seeing patients, please go to settings > scheduling > provider calendar and for that provider choose "practitioner does not show on calendar".
Note, at any point you can also open patient charts directly under Patient Actions, Charting History, and review and sign from there
