In OptiMantra, you can create your own categorizations (sub-types) of Services and Products and customize your reporting with those categorizations in the Analytics section
Setting Up Categorizations/Sub-types
You can define your own classification of Services and Products (supplements); for examples, you can split your services and procedures by:
- Office Consultations
- Injections
- IVs
- Joint Manipulations
In order to see the breakdown of the sales by these groupings, you first need to ensure that you define your own categories under Sub-Types

To follow along in OptiMantra, please go to Settings > Services and POS > Service and Product Categorization
Add your Sub Types here
Then assign Sub-type to individual services (or products) under Settings > Services & POS > Services (Fee Schedule)
- You can add categorization both when you add a new service, or edit existing services in your Services table
Running the Categorization Report
In OptiMantra, please open Analytics in the Navigation bar, click on List of Reports
Select Practice Financials > Financials by Category > Summary of Category (Type/Subtype) Charge and Payments
- You can also select the non-summary report (subbulleted underneath): + With Patient, Provider, and Date of Payment
- This will show you a detailed report with all transactions including by patient, date, date of payment, superbill, charge type
Exporting your Report
Click on the Home tab at the top of the page to export the report - you can select PDF or Excel to download the report to your computer
