If a patient has more than two insurance plans, you can add additional insurance profiles by following the steps below.

Add Additional Insurance Profiles
From the Patients tab, open the Actions menu (three stacked horizontal lines) for the patient and select Dashboard (under Clinical).
From the patient's dashboard, click on More Options (located in the top left corner under the patient's demographics), choose Insurance Profiles.
Click +Add New Insurance Profile
Fill out all required fields:
- Insurance
- Insured ID Number
- Insured Name
- Insured Date of Birth
- Insured Gender
- Insured Address
- Insured City
- Select State (for insured party)
- Insured Zip
- Payer Name
- Payer ID
Optional fields:
- Referring Provider Name
- Referring Provider NPI
- Referring Provider Taxonomy
- Insured Phone
- Payer Phone
Fields used for motor-vehicle accident and workers' compensation claims:
- Accident date
- Accepted injury
- Petition injury(s)
- Case status
- Auto Medical Limit (PIP)$
- Amount Left $
Click Save to add the insurance profile
Using an Insurance Profile to bill
When creating a new HCFA/claim for a patient, you can choose which insurance profile to use based on the payer you want to bill.
