In OptiMantra, you are now able to sell gift cards in your office or online

Configuring Gift Cards for Online Sales

Under Settings > Payments > Gift Card Config you can set up a module to display on your website with predefined gift card values, build out a template for printing gift certificates, and decide how to track gift cards (we recommend assigning them to a 'Guest' or 'Gift Card' Patient.

If the gift card link is not working, go to Settings > Payments > Gift Card Config and make sure Allow users to send gift cards is set to Yes.

Selling Gift Cards in the Office

You can also sell gift cards just like you would any other item on the Superbill under

Create Superbill > Other Services > Add A Gift Card

*Note that you will want to make sure the Other Services section is showing up in your Superbill to sell gift cards If you're not find this section, please click on Settings > Payments > Customize Superbill and make sure you enable Other Services

In the (likely!) case that you're selling to someone that is buying for someone else, we recommend that you check out the gift card under a guest patient (e.g. First Name - Gift, Last name - Card) to track gift cards purchased

So, create the Superbill for the gift card under your Gift Card patient (rather than the person paying the card) to track this centrally
This also ensures that if a gift card is - for example - a surprise, it's not auto-showing up on the gift-receivers profile

You can check that 'Gift Card' guest patient's activity to quickly determine how much gift card revenue you have allocated to specific patients and it will also show up in Analytics

Checking Outstanding Gift Card Values

You can see a full dashboard of all the gift cards that have been sold under Shortcuts > Admin > Gift cards

Notifying Patients (Receipts)

In addition to adding gift cards to a patient's Superbill (where it would then be tracked when you share that bill), you can also email a copy of the gift card to the patient from the Gift Cards dashboard under Shortcuts > Admin > Giftcards (see image above)

Clients will get the details of the gift card sent to them by email, including a unique gift card number, value and secret key

Redeeming Gift Cards

You can redeem a gift card for any client on a new superbill or on the admin page under Shortcuts > Admin > Gift cards.

A gift card can be redeemed from the bottom of the superbill:

The gift card number and gift card key will be required to finalize the transaction.

The patient can provide this information from their gift card, or the clinic can obtain it from Shortcuts > Admin > Gift Card page by clicking on the correct Gift Card ID.
